Teoules Cottage - A high quality Gite in Southwest France


This pretty country cottage offers extremely comfortable accommodation of a high standard. Part of a typical old Gascogne farmhouse which until a few years ago was a working farm, the cottage is located in the tiny hamlet of Teoules, about three kilometres from the main part of our commune, Bourran. Teoules nestles in the lower parts of the hills running alongside the Lot Valley. In all directions you look out on to hill slopes of sunflowers, maize and cornfields. Bourran is just over a kilometre from the River Lot, close to the attractive and medieval village of Clairac. Luxury Jacuzzi and Sauna Situated in a pine clad auvent next to the Cottage and overlooking the garden is a heated spa Jacuzzi and a Sauna cabin, along with wicker sofa and chairs for relaxation with a glass of wine after the spa or sauna. Also included is an exercise cycle machine as well as a couple of bicycles for those wanting to keep fit The Garden This is mostly lawned, edged with flowerbeds and is enclosed by hedges and fencing and looks out on to our poplar plantation. The pool is a six metres in diameter and set into the lawn. There are several trees to one side of the garden which provide an excellent shady site for sun-loungers beneath them, for lazy days by the pool. Here there are also sun-loungers for lazy days by the pool. The garden has sunshine all day and the trees give welcome shade. If you fancy a walk from the garden you can go through the poplars to a small brook and then across a tiny wooden footbridge into a plum orchard where you can stroll alongside the stream for a kilometre or two. The whole Cottage site and garden is totally private and not overlooked from any direction.
The setting is peaceful and quiet and provides a perfect base for relaxation and tranquillity and yet is near to several large towns (Agen, Villeneuve, Marmande) for shopping, restaurants and markets. The big cities of Toulouse and Bordeaux are within 60 to 90 mins drive.
